Expert commission of the Association of Communication Agencies of Russia summarized statistics on the latest development of advertising market in Russia.
The total turnover of the advertising market in Russia in the first three quarters of 2015 landed at 209 billion rubles (slightly over 3 billion Euro), which is 14% lower than in the same period of 2014.
Trends of the 3rd quarter, although it remained negative, improved comparing to the first half of the year.
Internet continued to be the only medium that showed growth during 2015. Contextual advertising (SEM) expenditures in Russia increased by 17% comparing to the same period of 2014, and although display advertizing lost 6% of previous year’s budgets, overall investments into digital grew by 12%.
